Somewhere Photoshop Homework

Image
A photo from @kirbyjenner I think would be hard to recreate:  I think this photoshopped photo from Kirby Jenners Instagram account would be the most difficult to recreate in my opinion. The outfit would be hard to obtain, since it would have to match the Met Gala dress code of wearing only well-known designer brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, or Prada. However, the most difficult part would be recreating the dress dripping down the steps. To be able to get the perfect lighting and be able to find steps that are the same dimensions as the Met Gala steps would be a great challenge, more so than another photograph on his Instagram page.  A photo from @averagrob I think resonates with my idea for the project. I would use this photo from Average Rob's Instagram as an inspiration to my photoshop project. I say this since I am using a photo of Tony Soprano having Champagne with the women who wants to buy his building to make it into a Jamba Juic...

Platon Inspired Photography

In your own words, describe an image from the documentary or  “The People’s Portfolio”  that brought you close to your own emotions? I truly think that the photograph of Michelle Obama on the cover of TIME magazine with the title of "The Meaning of Michelle," resonates with me and my journey to success as well. I think I speak for a lot of women and not just myself when I say that Michelle Obama is an amazing leader to look too since she had been such a great advocate for children during her husbands time in office. Her portrait from Platon is immensely powerful in a way that influences me to continue to not only work hard, but to reach those goals I have set for myself in the future. The portrait also makes me feel as if I can see the struggle and success in her eyes, not just the raw-ness of emotion, but also seeing the past, present, and future in one singular take done by Platon. I think that for me this would be my most re...

Creating the Logo Design for my Digital Media Projects in Blanka Roundtrees Class

Image
The First Sketches:  The Final Black and White Logo: The Final Color Options:  The Artist Statement:  The logo I designed was truly inspired by Native American style appliqué in which these designs are used on regalia for men and women. I really enjoy looking at these styles rather than westernized and American logos considering that me the artist is Native American, specifically Potawatomi and Ho-Chunk nation. I thought that using my heritage in correlation with my art is extremely important in terms of others understanding why I create this media art as well as giving my heritage and culture a place to be exposed to others who wouldn't see this on the normal, which I think is so incredibly important. I used the tulip design specifically because I thought it was more girly and more representative of who I am, in which I love flowers and think they are such a beautiful creation that came from the Lord. I hope that my logo sparks talk amongst those who are not Native...
